Irresistible Ideas: Express complex ideas so clearly that you’re impossible to ignore
Every day, professionals pitch ideas, present strategies, and try to get people on board. Most of the time the ideas are sound, but the message doesn’t land. People nod politely and move on. The idea dies, not because it was wrong, but because it was expressed too abstractly to act on. If an idea doesn’t click instantly, it doesn’t click at all. This workshop teaches a different way of seeing, thinking, and communicating, so an audience doesn’t just understand — they remember and they act. In an era where everyone has the same AI tools, the ability to think and communicate in ways that connect and convince is the lasting advantage.
Objective
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Apply a structured method to unpack complex ideas and separate what is essential from what is noise.
- Evaluate whether an idea is expressed clearly enough by testing it against the perspective of different audiences.
- Distinguish analytical thinking (figuring things out) from communicative thinking (explaining things), and apply each appropriately.
- Express relationships, processes, and comparisons through simple diagrams and visual vocabulary.
- Transform abstract concepts into concrete visual expressions that create instant recognition in an audience.
- Use AI tools as thinking partners and visual generators to produce a presentation-ready communication piece.
Outline
Module 1 — Diagnose (Figure It Out). You'll explore why good ideas fail to land, and learn to pull a complex idea apart to find the one thing that actually matters — the core most people bury under detail.
Module 2 — Develop (Shape It). You'll reshape that core so it fits a specific audience — learning to test whether an idea is genuinely clear to someone who isn't already inside your head.
Module 3 — Design (Show It). You'll learn a simple visual vocabulary that non-artists can use to communicate, and how to use AI to sharpen and amplify your message — leaving with a real, presentation-ready piece built from your own work.

Methodology
Each block moves through five modes: Learn (short, focused instruction with live demonstrations), Do (immediate hands-on application to the participant’s own idea), Reflect (peer evaluation using diagnostic tools), Apply (iteration until the idea is intuitive and irresistible), and Plan (transferring the skill back to the workplace). No design skills, drawing ability, or prior AI experience required — if you can write your name, you can draw your ideas.
